We officially got confirmation that moving forward Unreal Engine will be used on all of the Halo projects currently being worked on. So many creators are making good opinion pieces on the details and efforts behind it but its begged the question what was Slipspace engine and more transparency there as to how it didn't work. 

I think those conversations are most appropriate to have in a median like ours free from trolling but to welcome that kind of transparency is just impossible nowadays with how secretive companies are around their tooling. 

Regardless, it is exciting to hear anything new and I can't wait to see what they might have rolling out soon.

I can't remember where I heard/read this or if this is just a debunked rumor, but it was that Slipspace was just a "upgraded" Blam engine. It did have a slight different name for Halo 4 too, Midnight.

Either way, Im excited for this, Brian (ske7ch) when he mentioned how this will allow them to really focus on just the game and less on the engine, to me, his body language when he said that showed relief. So I'm hopeful.
