Accessing Posted February 3, 2020 at 10:25 AM Accessing Intelligence Officer [C] UNIT LEADER ACCESS [4] TOP SECRET〔CW〕 DISCORD 3.1k Share Why the hell do these people call it New England. Google New England is a northeastern region of the United States comprising the states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. It's known for its Colonial past, Atlantic coastline, changing autumn foliage and forested mountains. Boston, Massachusetts, the region’s hub, pre-dates the American Revolution, and its Freedom Trail passes sites that were critical to the nation’s founding. Jason L Lewis Posted February 3, 2020 at 02:27 PM Jason L Lewis Field Agent 91 Share The only real or logical reason I can see us calling it new england, is out of respect for the crowns involvement in establishing the America we know and love today. Otherwise why is it not just the Atlantic North East?

This is the encyclopedia company right? "New England was soon settled by English Puritans whose aversion to idleness and luxury served admirably the need of fledgling communities where the work to be done was so prodigious and the hands so few. During the 17th century the population’s high esteem for an educated clergy and enlightened leadership encouraged the development of public schools as well as such institutions of higher learning as Harvard (1636) and Yale (1701). Isolated from the mother country, New England colonies evolved representative governments, stressing town meetings, an expanded franchise, and civil liberties. The area was initially distinguished by the self-sufficient farm, but its abundant forests, streams, and harbours soon promoted the growth of a vigorous shipbuilding industry as well as of seaborne commerce across the Atlantic Ocean." Makes me wonder how that region seem to be more progressive than Georgetown, Williamsburg and Virginia's settlements.
Shandykidinkent Posted April 29, 2020 at 06:11 AM Shandykidinkent Agent 102 Share I believe so, but I’m not entirely sure, truth be told. That would be an interesting thing to pursue. Unraveling the mysteries of why they chose to settle, and the affects it has on future generations. - Shandy
