Killed in Action, ODST PVT. Lucy Flatline †

Aboard the UNSC Song of the East, ODSTFlatline was granted access to see the stars.

While on the UNSC Razor and Prowler Corps. she was teased for her unknown origins and stories with woven in lies between facts and fiction. Which ended in the transfer and reassignment of service for the wrongdoing of other soldiers in hazing her as she sleep talked of covenant battle plans in the barracks she was reassigned aboard the UNSC Song of the East.

The character has had flashbacks of unknown origin, even more sleep talking about being in a bloodline and Sangheili warriors. In a ship with less people on board the conversations can echo around the corridors. People would here snarls of a human acting like an alien. The crew aboard were in discomfort. Due to the earlier onset of the ODST Volunteer forms, staff also extended invitations to become one and Lucy luckily was chosen.

Her training like many others went unscheduled, already a Private in the ODSTs with no leadership she was left to wonder and create whatever she thought it meant to be an ODST. 

And wonder she did.

She wondered about the memories, the conflated egos of heroes names unknown to anyone else. A community that isn't beyond ONI but just at the rim of insanity. Members gathered to hear her stories. Her stories became her character. The role playing she created consumed her and her reality became this role play. Training children over Xbox Live in hopes of raising an army to fight the Covenant. She believed that children of the future would be able to fight the clans and people alike in a confusing blend of reality and virtual reality. Facts and fictitious stories. She would go on to claim many more things until the Captain would declare comm silence. 

Numerous times other officers warned but the UNSC Song of the East pressed on.

While the covenant does not have shapeshifting technologies as far as ONI is aware this person believed they were a Sangheili warrior amongst the crew. That being an ODST is equivalent to an Sangheili warrior. Concerns were raised, red flags definitely was there. In an ongoing operation ODSTFlatline once shared memories of child enslavement in a massive prison camp otherwise known as Vakorian Empire. These stories, were her reality. This clan an active entity in her life despite just being about Halo and video gaming. She was subsequently removed for this wavering allegiance and grounded from seeing the stars ever again. Not allowed on any ships, she continued to go on her way to share stories and whisper in dark corners of cities in the outer rim. Traveling constantly, jumping from Xbox live party to party avoiding the UNSC. 

In a dire recruitment drive, Admiral Serin Osman noticed how few women represented the ranks in ONI and after seeing the unfair treatment to ODSTFlatline or Lucy invited her again despite all concerns and documented occurrences of an inconsistent character. After being picked up immediately into the ODST's and becoming a Private again the soldier was more delusional than ever, damaged from the malnutritional habits out of service and the poor screening for ODSTs at the time. The fore warnings were there, the dismissal of skill over role playing and more.

While no medical personnel were able to examine the character for possible remedies the soldier went crazy. Haywire, and in one day decided to jump out into the vacuum of space. Her armor clad in different spray painted sangheili symbols, she had changed out of uniform and was caught in the act. Telling on her self over public channels knowing the patience of her superiors were thin in the thick of these subsequent actions. As she jettisoned off into space, without authorization the crew fired on her. With the captains orders on the assumption that being out of uniform she could not be identified. The missiles and anti-air turrets shredded what was left of Lucy as she cried out in Sangheili native language to the children she had mentored in her imagination.

I didn't know I had so many spelling errors but I fixed them and cleared up some parts. 

In the revival of the ONI channel, I might also make it an audio short retelling the story and even doing background interviews in frame of this. Its still one of the best work done here.
