  1. After finishing the show, like many others, me and my girlfriend are interested in diving into the game. Now as far as I am aware Fallout 4 has been mentioned to be the better game but for me Fallout 76 on PC was free because of my Amazon Prime membership. I think Fallout 4 may be on PC gamepass but honestly the newer game is likely the better experience for me, at least until the next-gen updates are out atleast.
  2. Already KevinCoolx mentions some of the crazy numbers behind the introduction of the Spartan Points and how to unlock things. Max Spartan Points you can earn in a month is 26,000 SP. Complete 1 game every day - 7k Complete every weekly - 4k Complete Operation Pass - 15k Exchange will refresh every 4-6 weeks with operation updates. You can only earn the Xanadu coating IF Banished Honor lasts 6 weeks. The exchange was designed for you to unlock 1 or 2 items per operation. I'm sure there will be repeated items and points can build up over time. To start the point costs are every high.
  3. Just finished the series, it is a testament to following and honoring the source material. It makes me really hate the direction they took with the Halo TV series even more though. Its unbelievable how good the show is and how it respects the universe.
  4. What do I do next? For Xbox Series and Xbox One: Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select "Store". Press the View button to open the side menu, and then select "Redeem". Enter the 25-character code, select "Next", and then follow the prompts. Windows PC: Follow the link below, enter the 25-character code, select "Next", and then follow the prompts: Redeem your code or gift card here. Please note: Xbox console users must have a subscription to Xbox Live in order to play Fallout 76.
  5. 343 Industries is introducing the Spartan Points and The Exchange systems from the Master Chief Collection into Halo Infinite. While it is not a 1:1 copy and past its a welcomed update and sure needs tuning from what has been introduced so far! Customizing your personal Spartan has long been a core component of Halo Infinite, and as we look ahead to our next update, we’re excited to share details of a brand-new system that will give players more agency over earned customization content. Over the years since launch, we’ve heard feedback around wanting additional avenues to earn customization content and a desire for ways to acquire older content that is no longer actively available in the game. With next week’s update, Halo Infinite will be adding two new features to directly address this player feedback: “Spartan Points” and “The Exchange.” Players of Halo: The Master Chief Collection probably recognize both of these terms for good reason—they are both based on what’s currently available in MCC today. “The Exchange” is a new feature that you’ll find within Halo Infinite’s Shop that offers customization content in exchange for “Spartan Points.” The primary focus of The Exchange is offering access to previously released free content that players may have originally missed out on. For example, rewards that were originally tied to Halo Infinite’s free Event tracks or a special limited time login bonus, or even a past Twitch drop or partner promotional item are all fair game for The Exchange. 6. The map "Interference" will be entering the Map Rotations for Ranked Arena and the HCS starting tomorrow April 23rd! It's a remake of Rig from Halo 5: Guardians. 7. TOS of course referring to terms of service, I would probably encourage everyone to read this article regarding Discords reaction to the recent data harvesting of public servers and their updated ToS adding forced arbitration. A little down the article it mentions when and how to email your lack of consent to the changes and opt out. But old users only have about until the 15th of next month. It seems that Discord has been in the news for one reason or another lately, ranging from layoffs to massive privacy breaches and information theft by third parties. And now there’s something new on the horizon — one that may not seem like such a huge deal now but could cause massive issues later on down the line for Discord users. Discord has recently updated its forced arbitration clause in its Terms of Service for its service for US residents, a decision that follows many other corporations that operate primarily in the US. According to the clause, any users who reside in the US waive their right to a jury trial, which includes any class action suits: [ https://www.techradar.com/computing/social-media/discords-updated-terms-of-service-are-exactly-the-wrong-response-to-its-recent-data-breaches ]
  8. Yeah I agree to both things you've mentioned, he is not the best at explaining the correlation or overall point wrapping up the video.
  9. While the message is welcoming, it is a little bit surprising as our last review and intel around the game was that Microsoft sent a cease & desist to the development team behind Eldewrito. But after reviewing an older blog by one of the creators it seems that they were asked to halt productions but the game itself is still playable. I have not done a code analysis (surprisingly from then and now I can do that) but they do have a public github so its interesting to see how exactly was Microsoft going to enforce this. Microsoft’s Legal Action and the Future of ElDewrito ElDewrito’s 0.6 update has been everything we could have hoped for and so much more. The community response and support we have been given has been exciting, humbling, above all, appreciated. We have poured our hearts and souls into this game, and you have been the best community we could have asked for. Unfortunately, 343 Industries and Microsoft have noticed it’s success, and have reached out to us regarding potential legal action, and have requested we temporarily halt development. You can view their article and statement here: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/eldewrito-community-content Microsoft had this to say about 0.6′s release. “While we are humbled and inspired to see the amount of passion poured into this project, the fact remains that it’s built upon Microsoft-owned assets that were never lawfully released or authorized for this purpose. As this project reverberated across the community, our team took a step back to assess the materials and explore possible avenues, while Microsoft, like any company, has a responsibility to protect its IP, code and trademarks. It’s not optional in other words. “ “BTW, we’re not “shutting down the mod” or going after the Eldewrito crew - we’re enacting action to remove the Halo Online code and packages from places it’s being hosted.. “ There was no Cease and Desist, no DMCA, just an brief conversation about what they suggest we do. What does this mean for the future of ElDewrito? To be completely honest, we do not know the answer to this question yet. Our conversation with 343 was very brief. Since ElDewrito itself is simply an open source mod and not a Microsoft asset, the mod itself will not be taken down. However, it appears that any Microsoft assets required to play the game (MS23 builds, Full 0.6 game zips, ect) will likely be taken down by Microsoft. All we know is that have been told to temporarily halt development until more information is available, and we must honor this request. During this time, please do not make threats or harass 343 Industries. Can We Still Play 0.6? Yes, absolutely! Play the hell out of it. Create more incredible forge creations. You can resume playing 0.6 as normal. It is important to note that ElDewrito itself is not being taken down - just any and all of Microsoft’s assets are. In the meantime, enjoy the great game that we have poured our hearts into.
  10. Halo forge map makers are being asked to be compensated for their work because a majority of the maps in Halo Infinite are community made using the forge tools. Previously, Forge content was added into matchmaking as a nice addition, benefit to all and feature to individual artists. We're seeing Forge be the backbone of new map content for Infinite. Forgers should have an avenue to be compensated. Especially since forgers are leaned on significantly to keep the game alive. Forge isn’t moving spawns/weapons anymore. You can easily spend 100+ hours in a map now… If people don’t get stronger incentives, they’ll likely move on. Microsoft should be be working with 343 to create a program that uplifts & encourages creators that then rewards them with payouts based on the plays they receive that in turn gets people back to the game/shop. Seems to work well for Epic. Forge has always been about passion without expecting compensation. But still the industry is evolving so I agree to an extent with this since Forge has become a powerful tool. There could be ways to incentive creation but it's a minefield what we're approaching here. I don't think hiring forgers as independent contractors is a wild idea. With Sparasoft making Forge maps this is probably the way around.
  11. Known to many as Monoxide AM, Alec had been apart of the competitive halo community for at least 17 years at this point. Over half of his life has been around people who shared the same passion. I appreciate everyone in the community that is able to share and attempt to help his family out during this time. A GoFundMe has been set up in Alec's name to help with the after life costs. 12. I was very surprised to see this video, because I also had this experiencve growing up on a military base where Halo did in fact was played regularly by service members. Its so hard to think now that we are so far from when and where that was, I am not sure if better more realistic games now play that part or if any gaming actually happens under the department of defense officially.
  13. I love RTS games, for me its an easy way out of the monotony of shooter games. Manor Lords is coming out this month in about 10 days and I am even more excited by it seeing the people playing the game before its release. These kinds of simulation games are great for creating and following your own story. To narrate over the events and choices you make and thats something else I like about it.
  14. The movies are a new standard in sci-fi, everything about it is done so well. I love Dune man, I didn't even really know what it was before the first movie and started delving in deeper this second movie. This game is on gamepass, so I did download it but I have yet to really try it. So far though its from the makers of Northgard and the gameplay looks a bit similar. The animations are cartoony but like Halo Wars 2 there is a sheen over everything.
  15. I don't know if you were talking about one play session but definitely in one sit down I probably game for around 2-4 hours, 1 hours if its dire and I have other things I need to do. But I am pretty consistent lately, have been online playing Tom Clancy's The Division from around 9pm to 12am Japan standard time so about 5am Pacific standard time for you.
  16. Recently I play way more but I don't really understand the first part of your question. For the last part I would say about 200 hours is average, 500 hours makes someone experienced and over 1,000 hours played is probably mastery of the game. But its hard to just say and leave it at that.
  17. I'm enjoying this show too, its made for a good midweek entertainment this season.
  18. Anyone come across anything good? My feeds best has to have been that Xbox is being bought out by another company. There was this too..
  19. I haven't started Starfield yet but returned to the Tom Clancy's the Division series.
  20. Some of the greatest maps in BTB brought back to Halo Infinite alongside some new ones! I do kind of question the choice and bias towards Halo 4, but that is 343 Industries.
  21. I know many look up to me and my online activities especially if its away from Halo. I am often asked why am I not playing Halo and where can I organize something on Halo. To which case I answer all the time the challenges of living overseas, the connection problems I experience and my time overall being limited between my many other priorities. However, as I mentioned before on the forums I finally built my girlfriend's PC and she can enjoy PC gaming as she has wanted to for a long time now. Typically these games would be Sims 4, Stardew Valley and Grand Theft Auto but it has since expanded to State of Decay, Tom Clancy games and really anything co-op! Which leads us here, Tom Clancy's The Division in 2024. I really enjoy this game for its story and the co-op shared progression it has; replaying it now I understand it better and how to play from when it was first introduced. Does anyone play or would be interested in progressing thru the game?
  22. After watching both Dune movies currently out it has left me wanting more from the universe Frank Herbet has created. Dune: Spice Wars is one of the only games out there now and a premier 4X real-time strategy game from the developers of the critically acclaimed Northgard. Set in Frank Herbert’s groundbreaking Dune universe, you must lead your faction and battle for control and dominance over the harsh desert planet of Arrakis. This game is on Gamepass so you can try it out and let me know what you think! I have only just started the game but so far it does remind me of Northgard and the animations are very cartoony.
  23. I have had the best experience watching this with friends at the newest IMAX theater in the greater Tokyo area. It is easily one of the best sci-fi films in the last 10 years. There is so much to talk about and share but I do want to take into consideration the spoilers for the movie. Has anyone else watched it? What are some general thoughts on the franchise?
