  1. THIS IS HUGE! While it is definitely behind a not-so-modest price it is very cool to see in game and I cannot wait to see what kind of media we might be able to do around this weapon model.
  2. Illusion takes place within an abandoned and forgotten ONI black site where old experiments with recovered (and familiar) Covenant technology still remain, evoking the feeling and design of maps from Halo: Combat Evolved. In many ways it begs the question why we don't have more fun maps like this but its probably for the better anyway. Cannot wait to play this one! A whole lot more was said about the map than I can really summarize so here's the link to the Waypoint article. [ https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/map-overview-halo-infinite-cu29 ]
  3. It's a lot smaller than last years but its a given. While there is now an event in London which is a win for the european community the rest of the world is left to watch again. Where the dollar is strong economically I am finding it hard to believe what the reasons could be for not hosting an Australia or South America regional event.
  4. Hey! I am always happy to see a familiar face, I can merge your new account and old account together if you want. Yes its almost impossible to get on and solo queue for me because I know what its like now playing with groups for so long. It doesn't even have to be Halo anymore, I get this feeling I need to invite my friendslist of clan kids before playing anything and I also need to hear their stories as we play. It is absolutely insane what you have to go through just to organize a raid or anything outside of the base game anymore. Taking the helm has had a new meaning in years and where I looked to first relieve the work and pressure from others I have given up entirely and just went the other direction to try and reward the effort and volunteer community management that the "Job" becomes. I stood up an US based non-profit called Eridanus-II Foundation for people to register volunteer hours in or be employed by to help them with their actual careers. Since we do anything from data entry and reporting to organizing events and administration I thought it was the most appropriate thing to do. I have no experience with Unions, I recommend making that its own separate thread though because I can imagine one or two people have gone through the process for appeals and so on. California is beautiful man, I think Delta A17 is over there he would have got a kick out of meeting up. Everyone always thinks the grass is always greener and where California is the people living there even after paying a stupid amount higher than average in rent will exxagerate it. I've had a few ask me to take it down but I genuinely laugh at it every once in awhile, like why did we talk like that and how my grammar got a little bit better from then.
  5. Manor Lords is a medieval strategy game featuring in-depth city building, large-scale tactical battles, and complex economic and social simulations. Rule your lands as a medieval lord -- the seasons pass, the weather changes, and cities rise and fall. [ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1363080/Manor_Lords/ ] Anyone else heard of this game before?
  6. The Mark IV Armor Core is joining Halo Infinite, the legendary Halo Wars Spartan Jerome and Red team armor is finally coming into the game. Despite its name, MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor Mark IV was the first production model of MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor. The Spartan armor design in Halo Wars is often regarded as one of the best in the series due to its unique blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. The armor strikes a balance between the iconic features of the classic Spartan design and a more streamlined, tactical appearance. The sleek and practical look of the armor reflects the game's real-time strategy setting, where efficient and strategic movement is crucial. The design incorporates well-defined lines, advanced technology details, and a sense of practicality that aligns with the tactical nature of commanding armies on the battlefield. Overall, the Halo Wars Spartan armor design is celebrated for seamlessly marrying the essence of the iconic Spartans with a functional and visually engaging style that complements the game's strategic gameplay. Its honestly beautiful.
  7. In a recently announcement a Match composer was announced to be in the works. Now personally this is a good win for the community but also at a loss and sacrifice again to population. The fringes that be in the rotational playlists will continue to be just that; there is no solution for unifying or bringing back community through the match composer. The match composer itself has been proven worthwhile in the Master Chief Collection but I have reason to believe its because people can choose which Halo title they want to play. Most will never have the luxury of only playing Halo 2 Snipers for more than 10 games a given day. These niche communities and filters end up being its own totem of dead heads in a way honoring the game modes and communities behind them, showing the direction but inevitably nothing more to it. I think this effort comes at a cost, but of course what do you all think? Its good to see updates at all but is this really the right decision to follow? A huge pro to this is that ranked slayer is going to become permanent which is a nice for those that look to be more competitive but cannot handle objective game modes.

  9. Unfortunately I don't think it would amass to a sustainable amount long term but would definitely increase the base population and have a big spike to last for months. The PS5 outsold the XSX and the most popular games are all free to play.
