  7. I don't know how popular this will get but I do know that we need to fill up and talk more HALO on this forum than anything else. What's been a question you have about Halo and the universe so far? We can all get together to do our best and answer them.
  8. In another thread on GPUs I mentioned CES and I realized its something we have never discussed or brought here in its entirety as a forum. While this forums relatively new, CES is not. CES stands for the Consumer Electronics Show, and it is an annual trade show that serves as a major showcase for the latest innovations and advancements in consumer technology. Here's an overview: 1. Purpose and Overview: CES is one of the largest and most influential technology trade shows globally, providing a platform for companies to unveil and demonstrate their latest products and technologies. 2. Venue and Timing: The event is typically held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States, and it takes place in early January each year. The show attracts a diverse range of participants, including technology manufacturers, developers, industry professionals, journalists, and enthusiasts. 3. Participants: Manufacturers: Leading and emerging tech companies from around the world participate to showcase their upcoming products. Industry Professionals: Executives, engineers, designers, and professionals in the technology and consumer electronics industries attend to network and stay informed about industry trends. Media: Journalists and influencers cover the event, reporting on new product launches, innovations, and trends. 4. Product Categories: CES covers a wide range of product categories, including but not limited to: Smartphones and Mobile Devices Smart Home Technologies Wearables and Health Tech Automotive Technology Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics Audio and Visual Technologies Home Appliances Gaming and Entertainment 5. Key Features: Product Launches: Many companies choose CES as the venue to unveil their latest products, ranging from cutting-edge gadgets to breakthrough technologies. Keynotes and Panels: Industry leaders often deliver keynote addresses, and there are panel discussions on important topics shaping the tech landscape. Global Impact: CES has a significant impact on shaping consumer technology trends for the coming year. Trends and products introduced at CES often set the tone for the industry. Overall, CES is a dynamic and influential event that brings together the brightest minds and the latest technologies in the consumer electronics space, offering a glimpse into the future of technology and its impact on our daily lives. Its very relevant in terms of our tech forum no matter how small our focus is in the macrocosms that is the internet. If you saw anything cool out of CES please share it below or in its own thread.
  9. Many might not know we have a database a wiki-style editing "wiki" that is very rudimentary in form and function. Where this database has been a little hidden (there is no direct link to it) I have opted in lieu of several other changes and databases being linked now to also bring this one forward. Behold, the HCS player and org repository. [ https://www.lysithea.ai/halo/hcs/ ] That is an unofficial name but if a better name is suggested we may adopt it! A question was asked before why even bother making another point of information and its because fuck it we can that's why. I have a ego and think we can make one better than the current ones out there and along with our forum software this came with it. Making redundant points of information can help validate it so I figured why not. If anyone is interested in helping expand this do let me know~ I will likely put @ONI ARCHIVE as head of this project, it would add to his achievements before joining us and maybe even build some relationships around the esports scene.
