The Mandela Effect is named for South African statesman and civil rights activist Nelson Mandela. When he died in 2013, news of his death stirred up some surprising — and mysterious — memories. People around the world reported that they remembered hearing of his death decades earlier, in the 1980s. Some even vividly recalled watching his funeral on television, according to PRI.

This amazing effect testing the human mind has been an ongoing occurrence for years to come now. Some common Mandela effects (Aside from Nelson Mandela's death itself) included where the fruity letter 'O's were placed on Fruit Loops and if it was Spelled "Froot Loops" or "Fruit Loops". Or, one of the most common ones is that spelling of Berenstain Bears or Berenstein Bears. This very complex, yet very interesting effect tests the human minds ability to remember large events and common names of items seen by many people, yet somehow entire populations can disagree over it. I have always like looking into things like this. How the world and human mind and body works. It is amazing how so many people could have the same memory but it be completely wrong.
