Remembering Queen Elizabeth II

As many of you know I am as far away possible from the UK and its structure, customs and so on before its global theater and how they are perceived inside Japan through the expats here. Long winded sentence, sorry for that but what I basically want to say is that I really don't know much about the monarchy, the queen and her significance or what her death means for the new world. 

Hopefully, someone can share here that knows more than me -at the moment a Google search gives me all kinds of memes and information all over the place. I'm sure she was a good queen if she wasn't overthrown right? The new voices of the internet are always echoing the horrors committed by people after they die, its become exhausting to sift through. 

I will say some funny memes have came out of this but I didn't make this thread for memes around the untimely event.
