Im Mr Morris Posted December 18, 2019 at 10:26 PM Im Mr Morris Attendant [Y] ENTERED RETIREMENT 196 Share What's everyone's personal best time to file for their taxes? Personally I've always done it in near late February but I've been told that doing it too early will give you more of a chance of an audit from the IRS. Does the possible stigma of an audit due to filing early sound plausible or just a rumor tossed around.

I do it as early as possible, if you do it through a service and the IRS audits you can tack it on the service as an error they did and get money back or compensated for the error. (Services being H&R Block or TurboTax Intuit) The earlier you do it the earlier you get your tax return.
