Banned Player tried to Compete

This is a thread on the situation with PILEZ, since still so many are asking questions but the internet sleuthing is relatively hard in the clutter that is the Halo community. 

TLDR; Jenelle told Heinz apart of the HCS Competitive Insight team the back and forth between her and Pilez and Heinz by word of mouth told her that Pilez has been banned. Pilez was able to sign up and still play in the online 2K and 4K tournaments leading up to HCS Arlington 2023 but was denied entry into the LAN after driving a stupid amount of miles and paying for the team pass ticket. 

The biggest thing wrong about the situation is that a banned player had been competing in the scene, his account on Esports Engine without any warning and no public announcement made for his teammates to know.

Having known and signed Pilez here when we used to do esports operations makes it hilarious. Of course its not so funny on the other side of this, Jenelle is also a good friend.

I'll post the long form thread later, before the details get burried in the noise but the TLDR does it justice. Most of the fine details isn't all that glamirous.

I never followed up on this, it turned out he did know he was banned from HCS events and tried to compete anyway.
