Haven't got to watch a full episode yet but from what I have seen the show looks great. Love the main villian.

I like it and you're right, no thread before the show - just been focused on other areas. I have to say the show itself is good so far, very questionable beginning but it was engaging.

With the shows end, its definitely the sweeter shows. The kind of cliff hangar it left us with though was a gross miscalculation in storytelling. Like all mini-series it fails to wrap up many of the storylines existing and adds new ones. I think a Movie is a better format of story telling for what they tried to go with but its likely the show will see a 2nd season because the movie itself would have a hard time standing alone to fans that did not watch the Rebels cartoon series or this live action Ahsoka series.

Just finished it, I like the direction its going.

I think they should have wrapped up a little more but we'll see. A movie following this would be cool but an entire trilogy following the original books for Thrawn just doesn't sound plausible for Disney. I'm not exactly sure what all it entails, I know some other folks here read those books but as a fan I think I'm just tired of the same shit.
