  1. Reminiscing with members old and new and I find the topic of conversation revisited in the many woven lies that IA and others share all coming from just one person. Fry H SIV, a person who has been hurting the brands name by masquerading as a sub-sect, authorized or approved federated state to ONI not knowing exactly what we do or who we are. Going so far as to create fake identities and attempt to impersonate many members here but commit identity fraud to outright mislead others that he is someone else. This post comes from a place of advisory for others and a weapon for Google to use as it will be indexed to search results for this gamer tag.
  2. There are plenty of bad forum platforms, so that list is very valid but I think the worst kind of forum are the ones with weak moderation, non-existent boundaries and areas for “unmoderated topics”. Those kinds of communities turn toxic very quickly.
  3. A successful outcome depends on the type of forum. I’ve joined many forums that are transactional based. I joined the UPS forum to try and find out why my package was delayed. Once I got an answer, I did not feel a need to return but I had a successful outcome in that I got the information I wanted and my faith in the UPS brand remained mostly positive. Other forums take you on a journey but only for a short part of your life. When I was researched electric vehicles, I joined a few forums to chat to owners of different models, and when I settled on a Tesla, I joined a forum to discuss that car in more detail and what the delivery experience was like as well as get help with picking a home charger, etc. Now that I have the car, I do not need to contribute as much and I drop in less frequently but on the upside, I help others now I have some experience with the car, so the loop continues.
  4. This is really cool and aligns with World Space Week quite nicely.
  5. I think we should add a French forum and also expand on the modding forums. With Open Carnage no longer around, losing a year and a half of data I think we should look commemorate them by both having a space for Chimera and Invader projects but also the modding scene overall as a strong PC community. This website also still isn't mobile friendly so for that target audience viewing in desktop they will appreciate the fine design and element in our site. I also think its time to rewrite our message in the front page, to be more clear and inviting. The Units is going to take more time I imagine so we should look to serve the community now instead of the one tomorrow.
  6. Was sitting at home spinning in my office chair, then by an unnatural force, I fell out and hit my head. I thought I should make a thread to share the pleasantries. Today (well really yesterday as the day just started) I had a deep conversation about how many people enjoy sunsets and sunrise as a population, and how so few actually see the sunrise. Its motivated me to wake up early. I enjoyed my typical coffee and worked
  7. What is everyone currently playing? Starfield absorbed me for the first few days but I have been actually enjoying Baldurs Gate 3 where I can find the time.
  8. They really put the gamers first, from staff and everyone else. Kenny thought from what I remember has a large portfolio to liquidate for cash if needed. I do not see them going unpaid and will still root for them, unfortunately like you might also be thinking this alone will probably end any chances of becoming partnered with HCS or any other tournament league organization. Between. G1 and. Sentinel I think this is the worst way to end your business.
  9. My favorite pizza is pepperoni actually! I am online to get it tonight. Wish me luck, will probably try to get it through Infection.
  10. Very good to see you again Anna! Hope all is well, I also played some Squad Battles and really enjoyed it. As you know too, or at least I think you know there is a ranks rework in progress (or done? @Accessing but some of us with the resigned servicemen group were reset, I had myself fixed but I think you definitely have way more posts than it says you do and that's something to fix. Some activities would be nice, Halowaypoint never really did forum games.
  11. I think we could have guest that's how the subscription model would eventually go to.
  12. It does need a Battle Royale or Tactical Raid based game mode. Something that is booth easy to get into and rewarding which up until now has been missing. Now we have a progressive ranking system awarded by player score (which is the best way to implement that) and with more armors coming soon it could entice old and new players to join and play towards something. When the idea first came around I was intrigued, as rumors around Tatanka a project codename for what we all think is a Battle Royale game mode was put to rest I was all but certain we would not see one. As a Halo fan I wanted to see it grow and be a better game, to me a Battle Royale is a welcomed threat and anyone who disagrees typically does so selfishly, to keep Halo in the confines of their vision for a great game which is reminiscent to Halo 3, Halo 2 or Halo Combat Evolved. Tatanka itself and its rumors were based on the contracted work of Creative Assembly; The head and some of its staff used to work on Halo in Bungie. Because this studios uses Unreal engine for other games it was presumed that the game mode was going to be made into its own separate game and with the Unreal engine. Sadly we don't really know if the project was cancelled or if the next Halo will be on Unreal instead of the highly touted Slipspace game engine. However as a separate game it's convenient to manipulate the entire narrative to add ODSTs or be playing as a Marine to not detract from multiplayer and truly be apart from it. I think this would be the perfect form four a Battle Royale game in Halo's universe and with the most recent update splitting the Campaign from Multiplayer as two separate games time will tell where 343 Industries will go with that.
  13. Well first... I am back playing Halo and in nostalgia on this account! I like the new Infection maps but do think that the playlist should allow parties larger than 4 to search together. I also think desync is still an issue as sometimes I trade with a sword because of the lung...
  14. I don't think it's necessary anymore. But I do believe the spirit of ONI is in its rigid checks for malformations. All SPARTAN-IIs for example have at minimum a Halo title 100% completed, that should always be true.
  15. I emailed one of their sponsors for more details. But I'm not too concern of any wrong doing if anything for anybody this is just an expansion of our digital footprint. I think that is his selling point, it is free advertisement and he is fronting the effort of all the clans together leading this Halo clan council idea he mentioned. I do not see its vitality as high but if he is looking to create a voice for clans as we are and directly compete with us I think he should be allowed too. I think its clear if he's asking about clans he his lying about esports and business operations. Though I will find out more once his sponsors answer back.
  16. I simply do not know enough to form an opinion but I do trust the process and believe that he did something wrong. It is a shame that nothing more can be done about it.
  17. Browsing several forums and I see a common thread that I think we should have here: What book are you reading? I'm currently reading Be More Pirate: Or How to Take on the World and Win - Sam Conniff Allende and its a very good book. Just started it so I can't detail anymore than the back; Pirates didn’t just break the rules, they rewrote them. They didn’t just reject society, they reinvented it. Pirates didn’t just challenge the status-quo, they changed everyf*ckingthing. Pirates faced a self-interested establishment, a broken system, industrial scale disruption, and an uncertain future. Sound familiar? “I’d rather be a pirate than join the navy.”—Steve Jobs Pirates stood for MISCHIEF, PURPOSE, and POWER. And you can too. Be More Pirate unveils the innovative strategies of Golden Age pirates, drawing parallels between the tactics and teachings of legends like Henry Morgan and Blackbeard with modern rebels, like Elon Musk, Malala, and Banksy. Featuring takeaway sections and a guide to building your own pirate code 2.0, Be More Pirate will show you how to leave your mark on the 21st century. Rebel — Draw strength by standing up to the status quo. Rewrite — Bend, break, but most importantly, rewrite the rules. Reorganize — Collaborate to achieve scale, rather than growth. Redistribute — Fight for fairness, share power, and make an enemy of exploitation. Retell — Weaponize your story, then tell the hell out of it. Whatever your ambitions, ideas and challenges, Be More Pirate will revolutionize the way you live, think, and work today, and tomorrow. So what are you waiting for? Join the rebellion. I hope that's convincing enough! If you share what book you're reading you don't have to go into detail as I just did, thanks in advance.
  18. It's very weird to hear Joseph Staten talk about the game type like that to me, but it is welcoming.
  19. The gameplay would make the Mantis interesting. Especially if it does not fall so quickly to the Skewer.
