    Community Update
As the last level of Kill masteries for the Spartan Company commendations to the ultimate reward of the Achilles helmet, the namesake of this article follows what it entails.
From all the things said already, each units page includes collective stats based on every member's performances. However, this does not include actions performed before joining the unit. Players can view their overall stats in Multiplayer, Campaign across Halo The Master Chief Collection and Halo Infinite in the service record section. Stats are updated automatically whenever an individual member plays, and it is not required for the members to actually play together as a team in multiplayer. Stats for individual members are not available in the company's service record, however the page does display the best players in some domains. In Multiplayer, it focuses on Highest CSR, K/D ratio, accuracy, time played and win percentage, among other stats. In Campaign, it displays stats on missions completed, LASO completion and achievements.
What we are intending to do is ambitious and to some, unnecessary but to us its a passion.
And so we bring back commendations!
    COMMENDATIONS

We're not looking to reinvent the wheel here, this is going to be part of a progression to show your units level. The unit level is going to be a combination of all the commendations as you progress with your comrades through them. The quick takeaways!
Unit level is going to be represented as Veterancy and will go up to 15 stars Xbox achievement progression of all players will count towards this Custom challenges here on the site will have rewards adding unit level We're building a think tank over Discord, if you are interested on helping expand this with new ideas please join and make it known in the #lobby https://discord.gg/ONI

Halo Infinite is introducing the DMR back as the Bandit, so I thought it be good to refresh some recruits on the history of the DMR and why its such a staple to Halo.
The Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) is a long-range precision weapon that has been a staple of the Halo video game series since its introduction in Halo: Reach. It is a versatile weapon that excels at mid to long-range combat, with a slower rate of fire and higher damage per shot than many other weapons in the game.
The DMR is a semi-automatic rifle that fires 7.62x51mm rounds. It has a 15-round magazine and is capable of both scoped and unscoped fire. The weapon's accuracy and range make it a favorite of many players in the Halo community, and it is often used in competitive play.
The DMR's effectiveness in combat is largely due to its ability to take down enemies with just a few well-placed shots. It is a reliable choice for players who prefer a more methodical and precise playstyle, as opposed to the fast-paced, close-range combat of other weapons like the assault rifle or shotgun.
In addition to its high damage output, the DMR also has a relatively fast projectile speed, making it easier to land shots on moving targets. Its scope, which features a 3.5x zoom, allows players to take shots from long distances with increased accuracy.
The DMR has appeared in several Halo games since its introduction, including Halo: Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 5: Guardians. Each game has slightly different balancing for the weapon, with changes to its damage output, range, and rate of fire, but it has remained a popular choice among players in each iteration.
One notable example of the DMR's effectiveness in competitive play was during the 2011 MLG Dallas Halo: Reach tournament, where the weapon was used heavily by the winning team, Status Quo. The team's precision and accuracy with the DMR was a key factor in their success, and it demonstrated the weapon's potential in the hands of skilled players.
In conclusion, the DMR is a powerful and versatile weapon in the Halo series that has been a favorite of many players for its precision and range. It is a great choice for players who prefer a more methodical and precise playstyle, and its use in competitive play has demonstrated its potential in the hands of skilled players. If you're a fan of the Halo series, you are sure too be excited over this addition coming soon!

As Halo Infinite matures into the game we know it is, Forge is updated to greater heights than we anticipated. While the game is at risk of a future beyond its release we are optimistic and expect this game to be the true spirit and ethos of what 343 Industries wants for this franchise. As a commercial success already and taking form in its seasonality we want to position ourselves to offer all members of the site an opportunity to learn and become a collaborator of an awesome forge and media project.
Halo Forge mode is a powerful tool that allows players to create their own custom maps and game modes within the Halo universe. One of the key features of Forge mode is the ability to create maps, and in this article, we'll walk you through the process of creating a map from scratch.
    Step 1: Choose your canvas
When you start a new Forge session, the first thing you'll need to do is choose your canvas. The canvas is the base level of your map and determines its overall size and shape. There are several different canvas options to choose from, including a flat plane, a canyon, and a bowl-shaped arena.
To choose your canvas, go to the "New Map" option in the Forge menu, then select the "Canvas" tab. From there, you can choose the canvas that best suits your needs.
Step 2: Add terrain and objects
Once you have your canvas set up, it's time to start adding terrain and objects to your map. You can do this by selecting the "Terrain" or "Objects" tab in the Forge menu and choosing the items you want to add.
Terrain items include things like hills, valleys, and rocks, while object items include buildings, vehicles, and weapons. You can place these items anywhere on your map and adjust their size, rotation, and elevation as needed.
Step 3: Customize your map settings
Before you finalize your map, you'll want to customize its settings to ensure that it plays the way you want it to. This includes things like setting the game type, choosing spawn points, and adjusting the lighting.
To customize your map settings, go to the "Map Settings" tab in the Forge menu. From there, you can adjust a wide range of settings, including game type, gravity, and weather conditions.
    Step 4: Playtest and refine
Once you've created your map, it's important to playtest it to make sure it works as intended. You can do this by selecting the "Play" option in the Forge menu and testing your map with bots or other players.
During playtesting, you may notice issues or areas that need improvement. Take note of these and go back to the Forge menu to make any necessary changes. Repeat the playtesting process until you're satisfied with your map.
    Step 5: Share your map
Once you're happy with your map, it's time to share it with the Halo community. You can do this by selecting the "File Share" option in the Forge menu and uploading your map for others to download and play.
When sharing your map, be sure to include a detailed description and any special instructions or guidelines. This will help other players understand how to play your map and what to expect.

Creating a map in Halo Forge mode can be a challenging but rewarding experience. By following these steps, you'll be well on your way to creating your own custom map that can be enjoyed by players around the world.

Doors have been used as metaphors in literature, art, and everyday language for centuries. As a physical object, doors are symbolic of transitions, passages, and barriers, and this symbolism has been adapted to represent a variety of abstract concepts and emotions. In this article, we'll explore some of the ways that doors are used as metaphors.
    Opportunities

One of the most common ways that doors are used as metaphors is to represent opportunities. A door that is open represents a chance for new experiences, growth, and success. Conversely, a closed door can symbolize missed opportunities or a lack of progress. The phrase "when one door closes, another one opens" is often used to encourage people to remain optimistic and to see closed doors as opportunities for new beginnings.
      Entrances and Exits

Doors are often used to represent entrances and exits in literature and art. In this context, a door can be a metaphor for the journey of life, with entering a door representing a new beginning, and exiting a door symbolizing the end of a chapter. In some cases, doors can also represent the threshold between two worlds or states of being, such as the physical and spiritual realms or life and death.
      Barriers and Obstacles

Doors can also be used as metaphors for barriers and obstacles. A locked or closed door can represent a challenge that must be overcome, whether it be physical, emotional, or intellectual. In some cases, a door can also represent a psychological barrier that prevents someone from achieving their goals or moving forward in life.
      Secrets and Mysteries

Doors can be used to represent secrets and mysteries, particularly in the context of hidden rooms or hidden knowledge. A door that is locked or concealed can symbolize a hidden truth or unknown information, while a door that is opened can represent the revelation of that information or the lifting of a veil.
      Boundaries

Finally, doors can be used as metaphors for boundaries, particularly in the context of interpersonal relationships. A closed door can symbolize a lack of access or communication, while an open door can represent an invitation or welcome. In some cases, a door can also represent a boundary that must be respected, such as a personal or professional boundary. In conclusion, doors have been used as metaphors in a variety of contexts to represent opportunities, entrances and exits, barriers and obstacles, secrets and mysteries, and boundaries. These metaphors help to add depth and meaning to language and art, and illustrate the rich symbolism that can be found in everyday objects.

    Jobs
    Hello ONI,
As I have mentioned very brief to staff only, I am opening and creating a Community Outreach team. Where Community Outreach may not be the best term to define this team as it will expand into more marketing and community management responsibilities, Outreach is the perfect word to use as we look to specifically fulfill the underlying definition in providing services to any population that might not otherwise have access to those services. As the kind of first step into the new model and neuroplasticity to where I am taking ONI its important to me how we can grow and where we can compensate people for their time and effort. This is the beginning trials of this.
While we work on the website, purging inactive members and fixing links as well as finishing design elements at the higher level. Our Discord proved invaluable to keeping a connected community and source of information especially while the website was down. And so, most of this teams day-to-day will be over Discord.
    As of now our current staff we have tenable goals we want to reach for Discord;
Reach and grow more than 1,000 Discord members for ONI's Discord.
This is specifically at the request of @ADM S Osman to have the added feature of hiding offline users.  Grow to 50 servers following our Discord
This is an function and metric where announcement channels are shared across partnered communities, as a New requirement for partnership with ONI's Discord server.  Apply for Discord Partnership Program
This is the effort to reach the minimum requirement to apply for Partnership, an average of 50 communicators voice/text per week, an average of 100 visitors per week, an average of 20% first week retention rates for new joiners not including raids or users who bounce quickly*  These goals will be followed by a compensation package, divided amongst the team and paid out through PayPal *potentially Zelle or other services (still exploring this)
$50  $100  $300 In this being a trial, I want to allow for some room for error. If this compensation isn't enough for the effort we will discuss as a team internally the best approach and increase at each package. It is non-competitive and It is an expectation that the team will work together to reach each goal. While this is the monetary compensation to this job other forms of awards might be introduced to recognize achievement and effort in other areas. As this has to do with multiple Discord servers including ONI's
Officially, the job Responsibilities planned is:
Handling public relations, such as developing strategic relationships, attending partner events, and conducting informational presentations. Collecting and analyzing data through Discord Server Insights  Advertising for, screening, and recruiting volunteers, providing them with training and support, tracking their performance, and keeping records of their activities. Creating activities to supplement and support staff needs. Verifying the volunteers' availability, receiving their feedback, recognizing their efforts, and answering their questions. Performing administrative duties, such as overseeing mailings, organizing travel, monitoring budget information, and reporting on financial issues. Requirements:
A Highschool Diploma and Interest in marketing, journalism, public relations, social services, or related field. Strong industry knowledge, especially gaming and Halo. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research skills. Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills. Because we've been trying to grow the Discord for so long I think it stands to say that adding a deadline now especially for these metrics might not matter as much as the compensation for them. The payout will be on completion with a January 1st planned pruning event. The Discord which our engagement analytics show about 343 members inactive in the last 30 days /what an uncanny number.

    Hello ONI,
As you may have noticed we've had our domain changed! In what was a very long down time, longer than what was expected we have finally changed our name to the available option amongst the 3. While down the road, Blackbox.ai will be the goal to pool up to we will indefinitely use Lysithea and create an experience around her as a SECTION 3 HIGHCOM AI.

Experience around her? What could I mean by that...
Using OpenAI and the resources allowed to us we're developing our platform for clans to use a new iteration of Spartan Companies. Turning a new leaf for ONI in itself leading Prowlers and other units to a new generation of leaders. Using an interactive experience we'll be creating an engaging splinter personality as we know these AI's can create of Lysithea to add a little bit of fan fiction around the place using the Xbox, Steam and Halo unofficial API's. This project has been added to the work we're doing around the backend of the site with a new deadline. March 1st 2023!

If you have any questions, suggestions or comment do let me know! For a sneak peak of what (or who) or maybe how we're going to be working this and getting it done.
Check out this: [ https://halo-5-visualizer.appspot.com/ ] Fans of Halo 5: Guardians might remember this prior to launch!

    18th Anniversary
Founded in September 24th, 2004 5:20 AM PDT

So much has changed from when we first started to now. From when I first organized games together, full lobbies across timezones gaming throughout the night tp now writing guides and sharing stories anticipating Halo Infinite's Forge update. One thing remains the same, and that is my passion here for this and in members. ONI has been a home to me and I hope to many others in just the experience we've created, adding to playing Halo. I can never 'just play' Halo anymore, I always have a purpose beit a rank to achieve, a role model to be to others or to teach and learn from others how they want to play the game.
Having written so many collaborative stories and introducing different ways to communicate 'target profiles' and 'intelligence gathering' has been a blast looking back. While truthfully, no one could actually recognize what ONI is today from its humble beginnings on Bungie.net writing guides on simple tricks to do on multiplayer and campaign. It has become so much more than writers and staffing entertaining post by post and an organized machination to an collaborative story of all our members. To build this in the framed narrative we share as ONI and enable our players to find purpose in Halo beyond the game is the goal now and years to come.
Halo isn't the best game out there right now. Yet we've come to find community here in it, in both faces old and new the 18 years we see around the sun has been a pleasure thanks to all that took part in it.
Now 18 is one of those big moments in life; a real milestone. You turn 18 and suddenly people start throwing around the word “adult” in reference to someone you very much still think of as a “kid" and terms like clans and role playing are suddenly too little, childish or immature forms of entertainment. Expect many changes to come in what we do and how we do things to reengage our members overall, the separation of squeaker squads and whiskey with cigarettes club is upon us.
In light humor I'm going to add some of the things you can do when you turn 18.
Vote  Join the Military Register for the Selective Service (mandatory for males in the US) Buy a lottery ticket Buy a pet Sign a contract Open a brokerage account and buy stock Book a hotel room Become a realtor Become a notary public Buy a car Skydive Sue someone (unheard of but true)  Work in a bar and serve drinks Be called for jury duty Open a bank account Get married without parental permission Get a 10 year Passport Get a Costco card Buy real estate or apply for a mortgage While ONI isn't a person to do any one of these things I do get a kick out of watching it grow to this and become a responsible community. And its in this community that I'm looking to improve it, using both the unofficial Halo API and the unofficial Xbox API to add to the experience on our website daily.
Thanks for holding fast, safeties off!

    WHAT ARE VIDMASTERS?
Defined by the Bungie game company as "someone who has mastered Marathon to its fullest", Marathon being a very old (in game terms) first-person shooter released by that company. A vidmaster must play on the hardest difficulty level, with every inconvenience possible to make the game harder to complete. While this later would include LASO or Legendary All Skulls On as apart of the technical definition, a Vidmaster and the Vidmaster Challenges originally did not include this and was a series of eleven achievements available for Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Spartan Strike, and Halo Wars 2. There are four Vidmaster Challenges in Halo 3, three in Halo 3: ODST, two in Halo: Spartan Assault, five in Halo: Spartan Strike, and two in Halo Wars 2.
The original seven challenges, released for Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST, initially served as the requirements for unlocking the Recon armor for use in Halo 3 multiplayer. After unlocking the achievements, players could log on to Bungie.net and request their armor through the "Road to Recon!" Although three of the Halo 3 Vidmaster achievements do not reward the player with Gamerscore, their use in unlocking Recon served as motivation for players to complete them.
The Vidmaster Challenges for Halo 3 did not ship with the original game, but became unlockable with Title Update 2; those in ODST were available at launch. With the exception of Lightswitch, Brainpan and Seven on Seventh, the achievements are widely considered very difficult to unlock. Thus, Recon armor remained difficult to acquire. However, on March 31, 2012 all record-keeping was transferred from Bungie.net to Halo Waypoint. As Halo Waypoint did not have the capability to unlock Recon, the armor was therefore unlocked by default for all Xbox Live profiles. The original Vidmaster Challenges therefore no longer serve any purpose beyond the achievements themselves.
The "vid" refers to the recording the player makes of their actions in the game that proves their skills. Using both the unofficial Halo API and the unofficial Xbox API we're able to add back this experience where Halo Waypoint currently does not accomodate for it. Reverse engineering data points in the game to create a sense of eternal progress and challenges outside of whatever 343 Industries has defined. We're able to make our own Vidmasters earning rare medals and achievement here or other forms of merit; payouts in credits on Halo Infinite to unlock armors and more on the shop, the changing times is exciting and I'm happy to share the celebration of this work in development and announce that it is not excluded to the Individual, THERE WILL BE VIDMASTERS CREATED FOR ENTIRE UNITS TO COMPLETE!
Entire Units will be able to challenge and accomplish goals together for the Unit to be awarded. The kind of custom configurations we can achieve are a new level, beyond what Spartan Companies from Halo 5: Guardians are like and Clans from Destiny 2 have for progression. Absolutely any medal, any counter, even time played in game or what games every has will all be included in twisted evil challenge only seasoned Halo players will be able to accomplish.
With all this exciting information, its a wonder when this might be available? But instead of sharing a date public, I'm going to actually silently publish this before the custom challenge generator, early next year. We're planning for so much and cannot wait to bring this feature that brought this clan together really in the comradery to unlock Recon. The Vidmasters Challenge will return!

    YOUTUBE
First and foremost I need to announce (this is the official announcement) that we're going to be building a publishing team to consistently meet the deadlines and demand for Halo content in areas not already covered by the top 10 Halo content creators currently on the platform. For details of the publishing team and more specifically the 2 YouTube channels this thread is going to be about message me over here or Discord, be sure to include details about messaging me for the YouTube channels though, I receive messages often and it takes some time to calibrate and answer astuciously.
In a self-reflection of my time and generationally taking a step back, YouTube has been there in all prospects to life with the overall consumption in hours exceeding that of which anyone would spend at school from elementary to high school. It is embarrassing to not have anything up when it serves the very ethos of what ONI is, as a data repository for remembering events and following drama. I think in our staff we've failed throughout the years to execute in practice and not in perfection. We never sit and produced anything of value to this platform because we could not think of a way to make it perfect. Growing up from however old that was, with everyone too the thinking is the same as adults and it took some time to unlearn and relearn this mindset that habitually making content is better than trying to be perfect for one piece of content.
So the 1 Year Plan for both channels
OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE | https://www.youtube.com/c/OFFICEOFNAVALINTELLIGENCE
The channel serves as a brand account for ONI, uploading in a framed narrative that is storytelling as ONI. The first couple of videos will not reflect this and be more personable, before getting very serious on and around Halo topics. The outlook of this channel is to fit its niche audience and share information around the Halo universe, retelling stories where Halo Canon no longer will and fill in but also add to the voids that Halo Archive and many other curators left. Exploring discussions had around lore, what-if scenarios and more as we've seen from Reclaimer Gaming. I may also look into pivoting natively to Japanese populations and post Japanese videos as simply there are none around Halo but after making a cadence we'll explore other languages.
For now these sets of videos are expected.
Recollect and share our plan for the foreseeable future. I intend this to probably be a one cut, visual and concept share. This is going to probably be a re-introduction to the community and I imagine the engagement will be mixed as many have different expectations on what we should be doing and where to grow.
Dispel any rumors, we've picked 4 rumors to honor my gamer tag "Shawn4Japan" to make videos of, but if I can think of any more engaging ones than we'll do that too. One we actually already made but Osman had deleted the video. It was a recorded meeting of us talking amongst staff with cameras on over Discord about the Halo Outpost Discovery and coming Female Pro League (or SWAT Nation girls/duos?) Halo tournaments. Hopefully I can retrieve this footage to just upload again, if not @ADM S Osman already agreed to make a special appearance. So about 4-5 videos in total. As the editor myself, I will most likely not commit anymore time to editing a video longer than 5 minutes, with 10-15 minutes the longest I will probably make any video.
Third set of videos is going to be development behind the scenes and tutorials. I've been reluctant about making tutorial videos forever because of the changing technologies we use but we're at bare minimum ready to make videos on where to find certain information and explanation as to how things are organized and why they are organized in that way. I don't know how many videos this will be but we can probably make an astronomical amount of videos. I will stick to some basics around the website that I know are not going to see a change in the foreseeable future -which will be another 4-5 videos.
Fourth videos and beyond will start from Halo Infinite's storyline and where ONI is in the same in-universe year. We'll start releasing information from the game and where it ties in with the Rubicon Protocol book that I bought but haven't opened yet. I'll most likely ask Harry to read lines and use game play of him lagging killing grunts or something. But more seriously, the planned videos here will be for around Halo Infinite's story, the book Rubicon Protocol and its extended story by season.
    ACCESSING ONI | https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFCQnK6iQLAEqVO1xVmDfjQ
This channel is a newer channel that is going to be a realignment, focusing on the community itself from the latter channel that is going to be about lore. The analysis paralysis that is not uploading habitually to get better is answered by having this channel be for ourselves instead of the identity we want to keep that we don't actually own. Hopefully through both efforts we can drown out the other groups, but I want to emphasize that is not the goal. Why this channel was created was because the access to our community and events we share should not be confused with where we want ONI to go in a framed narrative, you can think of this as a more relaxing and insider content for our members as the audience instead of a broader greater Halo community who may only be interested in lore or different perspectives of ONI. I do not expect this channel to boon but I will also do any interviews with other members and people, clan content and updates as well as access to what I do and behind the scenes.
    The following sets of videos
Introduction to ONI, history on ONI and its digital footprint. I won't do this one cut super long video I have on my personal YouTube channel but this time do quick cut, explanation and legend of what ONI was. I'll probably have a friend do some voice acting so he can add something to his resume.
Hall of fame and staff honorary videos. This will kind of follow along side the first set, I will omit Sechemet though and anyone else controversial. I don't want to talk for people, or put anything they may not have said in their mouths and start anything, These videos might even just be shorts since the graphics for that is easier to publish and fawn over in a mobile device. The YouTube has been a missed opportunity to play on the age of communities. A video made in 2005 on the platform is still there in 2020, YouTube will also likely not be shut down anytime in 100 years so these videos are a sort of catch up to this idea. Expect 2 videos, but if I have the content for it more I may create more.
Interviews and personal vidocuseries. Obviously I cannot follow the lives of people we know, but will check up and invite anyone/ everyone to be interviewed about Halo Infinite, ONI and their general thoughts. I am most excited for this because I think its something everyone wants to know about each other that isn't so commonly known behind the empty surveys we fill out Halo support website. The amount of videos will be dependent on most peoples schedules but I will probably set a limit of 10, before inviting other clan leaders to also join the discussion. Think of this as a newer but to lower grade of DividableHaloHD's effort to capture voices around the community.
Best unit, deployment videos and clan battles. This last set coming in later but should be no later than Q1 of 2023, I'll also be playing catch up here uploading the engagements and scrims we have had as a community internally and with the help of are partners and other tournament organizers. I have outsourced this bit with little record but it has been a success in activity and where available I will document it in the coming 1-9 videos.

    ESPORTS
Hello everyone, Shawn here to report on what Tier 1 is, what is it up to and where we are going in the Esports sub-organization.
Going to try to keep this as short as possible:
Tier 1 is going to go through another name change and shift in product focus to expand beyond talent management in video games.
Tier 1 was originally purpose-built to bring new talent to HCS and provide full 360-circle details into the innerworkings of legal and operations to how to market personal brands and building a network. With confidence in many players I met through ONI, some that I believe can acquire and do more than show up to training having consistently scored high in matchmaking, with the right attitude and outlook it seemed very possible to aim high and bring recognition to our name. I intended on bringing teams to compete on a world stage and at the end of Halo 5: Guardians was able to bring a Top 12 placement to under our previous name Operator Esports with Sneaky Bran, Nebula, Eli Elite, Pilez and iAwolski as our coach. Releasing our team later to Falling Esports.
As its owner and founder I see it as an extension of looking to play more competitively but helping others with more drive, passion and time to compete where I can't. This was and has always been received underwhelmingly as some short stop pivot to play the game as it is intended from the prior role playing narratives followed (where we had a larger member base). I understood that this is the wrong crowd, revaluated my options and pursued an individual organization to again introduce players to my network of tournament organizers and other professionals in the space to build a career. I am proud to share success bringing people together to focus on goals beyond clans and even make more friends for myself, networking throughout the Halo championship series with players, coaches and tournament organizers.
When Halo Infinite released, with it a partnership program in the league was introduced. Partnered teams have invested “into the future of the Halo esports ecosystem” and are entitled to revenue sharing, priority access to filming content at events, and future perks not yet outlined. Basically partnered teams can do whatever they want, only really investing in a designer to add the brand identity into the game in the form of skins, which when bought become a revenue generating event between both parties. According to the HCS team, they are looking for teams that “have a proven track record of supporting rosters in other games or even Halo.” They’re also looking for teams and organizations with impressive social media and content strategies, in addition to ones that are invested in Halo content creators. This transparently details that smaller companies will not meet the mark, regardless of what is done around the scene and so a pivot from the conventional is needed. The caveats though span across several controversial actions partnered teams commit too. FNATIC not fielding a team until mid-season and one out of its native region. FAZE hosting a tournament themselves, backing it in its hat tipping to other teams. SENTINELS hosting an invitational event and other prominent giveaways.
The lead for Halo Esports at 343/Microsoft is Tahir “Tashi” Hasandjekic and while his work is honest, hard and excruciating; literally being baptized in fire he is managing the front to this operation in what is a mismanaged launch of the game plagued with issues existing for 9 months with no answers. This combined with the arid responses to be transparent yet implicative of no future planning in the league beyond Worlds brings speculation that he isn't on our side and leaves more room for distrust between him/HCS and the message he publishes for org owners, shareholders behind these orgs and fans all the same. Kanasas City Pioneers, XSET and many more larger orgs than us leave HCS creating opportunity to field a team but with no promise to the success of the league.
The advertisement industry is scaling back in the esports space, which comes to no surprise as the by-definition recession is in full effect. While the billion dollar industry that is esport is increasing at 14% per year, brand deals, partner/sponsorships and merchandising are the main forms of revenue for any org and with advertisements slowly in decline the effort is harder to establish and grow. Brand deals do not come without influence and merchandising is not profitable without community or story. To most this isn't so hard to understand but Tier 1 is no where near organized to succeed and that is a needed change.
Now, living in Japan it is x10 harder to manage and sustain an esports org when the best business practice for me is to personally make every connection with partners, sponsors and investors. Most fans agree "Tier 1" is a moniker reserved for esports titles with the largest ecosystems, viewership, brand partnership deals and prize pools. That naming this Tier 1 despite its military influence and significance isn't ideal as a name especially in contrast to the resources we have and already existing titan brand Tier One Entertainment. A name change is exhilarating as it is stressful and with the goal to continue to watch how HCS will play out until worlds we can properly plan for and create a successful business model.
Next season will be an exercise of all we analyzed to the successes we see and I invite everyone to be apart of this success, sticking around and following our social medias.
With all that is said, while undergoing this change I will 100% post and be completely transparent in all of the processes for those curious what goes into registering a business, changing its name and where things need to be to execute the code. I am still expecting to close deals with the same partners before local small businesses in Atlanta, GA with the base of operations also in the state of Georgia, while the challenge is present for me physically being in Japan I will also be looking for business partners stateside that can carry and have an interested in making a career out of this, but pursuing their dream with mine together, so if you are interested in getting some experience let me know!
P.S. Sorry this wasn't as short as I was hoping it to be.

    Clan News
    UNSC PRESS CORPS.
I am always ecstatic about what I am doing around ONI and I haven't been able to convey it well enough to excite others sometimes but for this blog, the Press Corps is something I think our community has really always wanted!
The Press Corps. is meant to be a news team we create for curated content around clans, drama and objective column in the news. This is an area I am actually excited for because this team will probably be boasting the most engagement sharing some of the silliest of stories we hear on Xbox Live. I am expecting absolute clown news to be here in the coming months, especially in the weird array of characters across the space.
Anyways short entry to say we're here and if this is something that interests you, send me a message!

    Development
    Hello all, Shawn here, again.
I don't know if Accessing is suddenly a daunting name to confront, believe it or not I changed my gamer tag solely because I thought it sounds cool and the option presented itself when I was looking for one but now people treat me like a completely different person, It's a little odd to be treated like a robot, or accused of impersonating myself but I can only expect the shallow likeness of my Xbox Live profiles and Discords with little presence around Halo anymore perpetuate this, I started ONI in what seems like forever ago and it has grown with me, adapting and extending from my persona. I enjoy Halo, yes even Halo Infinite and genuinely believe both the game and franchise will find more success as it matures. Playing in an even smaller geographically locked disadvantageous demographic I can still enjoy Halo for what it is, with others to win and that is what I see for ONI through its framed narrative storytelling.
It has been sometime since I've talked openly about where ONI is going and how to expand, recover from disinterest or inactivity and explore more of the Halo universe using our strong medium. Esports is just one initiative to add competitive pressure into the space, legally binding documents with law firms and talent scouting/management as an agency but this is not what this is about, while it definitely will still happen I want to first and foremost dispel this announcement from any kind of esport capitalization. It still very much has to do with this new direction but is not the core to what unrealized talent we have now and can foster for the future.
The most important thing to go over is that ONI isn't going to be the ONI you know anymore and the plan is an entirely new direction to outcompete our niche market, but also enter a new one.
By no means am I leaving the name to the constant antagonists that feverishly look to become comparable to us, or the other bad actors that use role playing as a guise for committing fraud and more heinous acts co-opting our name creating more commotion around our brand to distract from simply playing the game.
I intend to go beyond Halo clans, like staff has always wanted, volunteering so many hours into making this platform home to merit and transfer skills in to master and out to provide value to other communities. To take what we do and learn over video games and carry them over into our respective industries and making value to share is what we eventually want to do. In IT, Business, Marketing, Advertising and Data Science industries. Beyond leadership development and personal characteristics to tangible commercial talents.
The first thing to go over is the goal, the mission of what ONI is and always will be the focus to comradery and forged friendships created through player experiences and collaborative storytelling.
How do we tell this story?
Through Black box, Black-Box (AI Serial Number: BBX 8995-1), commonly referred to as "BB", a fourth-generation "smart" artificial intelligence construct built by the United Nations Space Command. While a "smart" AI, Black-Box possesses at his core a set of "dumb" processes, which can be separated from his higher thought processes and function as a "dumb" AI, operating independently of the main AI, but still fully within his awareness. Using what we know from lore, we are developing a framed narrative experience around this community using the Halo API provided by Zeny IC, or Alexis Bize to access Halo Infinite and Halo: The Master Chief Collection game data. Creating an layer over everything we do with more incentives, data-driven from connected accounts and with interaction with the website BB's "dumb" personality to build challenges, awards and organization on top of the game.
Some of the things we are creating BB's independent splinter to do
Organize players together by location data from Halo Organize players based on skill level and scale to TrueSkill2, coding an average team MMR creating both fun games to play for all skill levels internally as well as in matchmaking Onboard players to experiences, anything from the forums to hijacking a Banshee.  Share Halo game knowledge from a repository of saved information Pull Halo service records and present them as a AI browsing Spartan files Create challenges on Halo Infinite with onsite medals and credits as awards  We intend on changing the domain name to blackbox.ai or other ONI -permissable name to be more openly accepted by others in the Halo community

How do we improve player experience?
BB becoming the center to this website will be programmed to walk with the player to achieve milestones set up on the site. These milestones and awards will be anything from achievement hunting too, in-game challenges on top of/aside from the weekly and battle pass challenges. For what players do in game they can be paid out of game and more through the gamification of our website and future apps to gratify users to commit both more time to play together and get better at the game beating posted scores in leaderboards alone and as a group.
Why might someone want to do challenges that don't have in-game merit?
We've allowed and give discount to use on website credits to buy in-game stuff  It can add a layer to the game that creates more incentive than the already established game theory What player experiences are specifically offered with ONI?
The feeling of being accepted for you, your stats and history around Halo Awards for kills, captures and progress otherwise absent in the games Awards again but for finishing the campaign, playing with friends and winning games Credits an form of in-universe currency that is used as a tool to exchange time for value Added value in finding others that play better and challenge you to become a better Spartan
    How do we foster community?
ONI has been a community within itself for a very long time. In waves this has pulled to the ocean and crashed into the banks of sand as a washing repetition of life and what comes after. Our veterans have left, resigned to tour the world playing golf or sit by the beach with a vacation home. This has put us in an interesting predicament of change, the core to this community for engagement is bringing the change we want to see and creating the conversations that invite all of us to participate in. Now has become rightfully the time for that and hopefully as many realize the potential of friends in any tactical shooter game we can remain competitive with other communities that don't care for its members and put numbers before names.
A new guideline has been created, way of recruiting and keeping track of people. But in the event we can't?
Paid positions, interns and official jobs around community moderation as well as a network Partners officially and unofficially managing events, hosting events and mixing opportunities with our members providing a full calendar of events for Halo and more games  Streamers, graphic art consultation, talent agency and contractor arbitrage in the creative economy
Becoming a platform is not easy, watching HaloArchive.com and later communities rise and fall its a duanting task. Especially in a simplized digital app-driven future (which we are not leaving out) to become competitive in this space we are offering a number of digital products free to members that we will take to the community and win the day over as creatives and as fans.

    ODST Firefight – ‘FloodFight’
In Halo 3: ODST, we’ve done more than just add the Flood to Firefight!
To support this fan-favorite mode, we’ve made numerous networking improvements which benefit Firefight across the board. We’ve also fixed several issues with enemies getting stuck or not seeking out the player properly.
Players can now use the VISR map to see enemy locations, even while waiting to respawn, in Firefight matchmaking. Players can now use the Energy Sword and Sentinel Beam in ODST for the first time ever, and can even spawn with these weapons in Fiesta Fight. We’ve also mixed new enemies (such as Elites and Flood) into the wave lineup for various Arcade variants in Firefight matchmaking.
A handful of these fixes and improvements have been imported back to Halo: Reach as well. For example, players can now trade weapons with allies (Covenant units in Firefight Versus, and the friendly Marines on the Installation 04 map) and evict them from vehicles to take over their seats in Firefight matchmaking.
The Flood in Halo 3: ODST have also received numerous upgrades over their counterparts in Halo 3.
First, players will notice that Flood are accompanied by dense fog which gives each Firefight mission a new and spooky ambiance. Players will see this fog dynamically fade in when a Flood wave spawns and fade back out when a regular Covenant wave spawns (in variants which mix Flood and Covenant enemies).
Flood can now occupy vehicles for the first time since Halo 2 and players will encounter (and potentially commandeer) these across multiple Firefight missions. Flood enemies now have a few new animations which allow them to pilot these vehicles, traverse the environment more effectively, and even wield support weapons like turrets.
In ODST, there are also three new types of Flood Combat Forms—the infected civilian, the infected ODST, and the infected Elite Major which sports red armor and energy shields.
The Flood can employ all their familiar strategies as well. Stalker Forms can climb on walls and deploy as Ranged Forms in unexpected locations, totally changing the way the classic Firefight missions play. Flood can also drop onto the map via dispersal pods.
Lastly, unlike the Master Chief, ODSTs can be infected and resurrected by the Flood. Beware, as you may have to fight your own resurrected allies—or even yourself!
The Flood may be more ferocious than ever, but thankfully you have a few new options to combat them as well. New “boons” are available across the Firefight missions to aid you against the undead onslaught. These boons include things like weapon racks containing assault rifles and battle rifles (neither of which were available in Firefight in the original Halo 3: ODST release).
On some maps, players will find Flamethrowers to fend off the Flood. On others, players will be assisted by allies. Marines and NMPD officers will help combat the Flood and can help you by manning vehicles and turrets. On night missions, allied Elites are delivered via insertion pods to aid you. If matchmaking isn’t your thing, these allies can help even the odds in solo Firefight and they can be enabled in any Firefight game variant, not only in Floodfight. Lastly, some Flood enemies will be generous enough to drop any grenades they may be carrying which you can then use to restock your inventory.
